What did the $1,200 cover?
ABC News reported on December 3, 2025, citing Bloomberg, that The Core’s connection membership had a starting initiation fee of $1,200. The same launch coverage reported a separate community membership starting at $50. These were reported starting fees at launch, not a complete fee schedule or a current offer.
The two tiers were described as serving different purposes. The community membership offered curated content and access to member exclusives. The connection membership was aimed at people seeking a life partner, with private curated experiences and personalized, high-touch connections. Frankel also described offers, experiences, and events as part of the broader concept.
Applicants were reportedly asked for a statement of intent and reviewed before joining. Bloomberg, as cited by ABC News, also reported that the concept had been tested with a pool of roughly 150 people. That is a reported test-pool size, not evidence of how many people are currently enrolled or how many matches the service produces.

Why did the reported price rise?
The available reports show the price changing over a short period. On her December 26, 2025 podcast, Frankel said pricing had started lower with different tiers and was then “in the thousands.” The Miami Herald reported on February 11, 2026, that membership was starting in the $7,500 range. That later figure does not establish an exact current price or a full list of fees.
In other words, the $1,200 headline reflects launch reporting and became outdated quickly. The reports do not explain the precise pricing rationale or establish what any particular applicant would pay now. Confirm the current price, tier, and payment terms with The Core before applying.

Is The Core a dating app?
Not in the conventional swipe-app sense, according to Frankel. On her December 2025 podcast, she said The Core was not an app like Tinder or Raya at that time and discussed a possible future technology solution. The offering was presented instead as a membership community built around screening, curated connections, and in-person experiences. The available reporting does not establish whether a technology product has since launched.
What does the membership promise—and what does it not?
The pitch is that screening and controlled access can create a more curated environment, with human attention, personalized connections, and events rather than relying only on an app’s matching interface. Frankel emphasized vetting and conduct; the company’s website was quoted by ABC News as saying, “We operate with a strict barrier to entry and an even stricter standard for conduct.” That is the company’s stated policy, not independent confirmation of how consistently it is enforced.

The fee should not be read as a guarantee of a partner, marriage, a set number of introductions, or any particular result. Frankel said applicants could be rejected and that she did not promise marriage. The Miami Herald described a Miami event and one couple’s account, but an event and an individual anecdote are not independent evidence of typical outcomes. No independently verified success-rate statistic is established in the cited coverage.

- Cancellation, refund, renewal, and conduct-enforcement terms.
- Whether The Core currently offers a technology product, or operates primarily as a membership and event-based service.
Published coverage does not provide enough comparable, verified information about other dating apps or matchmaking services to show that The Core offers better results for its price. Evaluate it against your own priorities—such as screening, human involvement, event access, and transparent terms—rather than assuming a higher fee means a higher chance of finding a partner.
