Alana Thompson threatened possible legal action against her mother, June Shannon, during a discussion about money shown in a March 2024 episode of Mama June: Family Crisis. The episode coverage describes an on-screen dispute—not a documented lawsuit or court ruling.
What happened in the episode
In the scene reported by TMZ on March 23, 2024, June handed Alana checks while they discussed money. Family members were surprised by the amount, and June acknowledged that she had spent some of the money on living expenses, including clothes and food.

People’s episode report, republished by Yahoo, says June told Alana she had taken 80 percent and left 20 percent for her. That percentage is an account of what was said in the episode; the reporting does not independently audit the money or establish the complete earnings history.
What Alana said about court
In a confessional, Alana said, “something’s gonna happen because you ain’t fitting to just get away with stealing my money, baby,” according to People’s report. The remark expressed her allegation and anger. It is not a legal finding that June stole money.

TMZ paraphrased Alana as saying she “may need to consider legal action against her mom.” The coverage does not report that Alana filed a lawsuit, that a court ruled on the dispute, or that the matter was resolved. The headline’s reference to court describes a threat made on the show, not a confirmed case.

TMZ noted that the episode had been filmed earlier than the March 2024 publication of its report. At the time of that report, Alana was studying nursing in Colorado. TMZ also reported that she had received a $21,000 scholarship; the article does not establish that this scholarship was connected to the money discussed with June.
