We’ve stood with our partners all these years to give farmers — the hardest working people in America — the support they need to survive against impossible odds. All of the artists donated their time and travel expenses, according to the annual report. Farm Aid’s September 2025 release said the organization had raised more than $85 million since 1985. That figure belongs specifically to the 2025 announcement; newer general Farm Aid materials use a different “more than $90 million” figure and should not be silently combined with the 2025 number.

Readers interested in the festival’s longer history may want to look for Farm Aid: A Song for America, a book that Farm Aid’s historical archive describes as chronicling 20 years of Farm Aid music and the family-farm movement. The book is background reading, not a Farm Aid 40 program or event recording. Current Amazon availability was not verified, so check the listing details and edition before buying.
