Their own descriptions centered on an unpredictable, recipe-conscious couple and a pair drawn to Italian-influenced home cooking whose communication could be lively.
Hannah Campbell and Lawrence Murphy: a couple cooking for a shared future
Seven’s 2024 contestant profile identifies Hannah and Lawrence as a couple from Western Australia. They said they hoped to use the $100,000 prize toward a wedding and a home together.
Their cooking styles sounded different by their own account. Hannah called their cooking “erratic and messy but full of love,” and joked, “There’s always a 50 per cent chance my meals might fail!” Lawrence said he preferred following recipes and measurements. He took up cooking after meeting Hannah and was still learning to trust his instincts.
Mike della Maddalena and Pete Bellini: friends with an Italian home-cooking focus
Seven’s profile of Mike and Pete describes them as Western Australian friends with Italian heritage and a preference for authentic, home-style cooking. Mike said they had been friends for more than 20 years. Pete brought a flair for plating, while Mike’s unfiltered banter was part of how the team presented itself.

How the teams fit into MKR’s 2024 season
My Kitchen Rules Australia is a team cooking competition. Prime Video’s 2024 season listing describes contestants preparing a three-course meal for fellow contestants and judges. Its episode descriptions associate Mike and Pete with a classic Italian menu and Hannah and Lawrence with a return for redemption after a clash at another restaurant. Those summaries sketch parts of their season, but do not establish a detailed results record or exact episode chronology.
