Meeting in New York
In an October 2021 Instagram tribute, as reported by Yahoo Entertainment and People, Romulus wrote: “The one thing I admire most about you is the fact that you are the same genuine person that I met that Monday night in NY 15 years ago,” followed by praise for Kardashian’s character. Counting back 15 years from that post places their first meeting around 2006.

The December 2024 birthday
Us Weekly reported that Kardashian surprised Romulus with a Cybertruck for her birthday in December 2024. Romulus’s Instagram Story, as quoted by the outlet, read: “Thank youuuuuuuuuu … There is no one like you my crazy, over the top bf @kimkardashian.” The gift is a dated example of how close the two are. It is not evidence of how Romulus ranks among Kardashian’s friends.

“Best friend” is a media and personal description, not a title. The 2023 roundup also shows that Kardashian has other close friends. It quotes her describing Allison Statter as a longtime friend from elementary school. A headline calling Romulus her best friend reflects how close the two are, not a ranking.
