Who is Holly Sonders?
Biography.com describes Sonders as a model and sports broadcaster. Public coverage also associates her with golf and sports media, but the available biographical information does not establish a detailed career chronology.
What has De La Hoya said about their relationship?
In a July 2023 interview with The Guardian, De La Hoya referred to Sonders as his girlfriend of two years and called her his “best friend.” That is a first-person description of their relationship at the time, not confirmation of when they privately began dating.
What is the public timeline?
- August 2021: TMZ reported that the two had been dating for a few months. The page has a later update date, but the underlying report concerns 2021.
- July 2023: The Guardian described Sonders as De La Hoya’s girlfriend of two years and quoted his description of her as his “best friend.”
- September 16, 2024: Telemundo published an exclusive feature in which De La Hoya discussed his life and relationship with Sonders.

Are Oscar De La Hoya and Holly Sonders still together?
The sources above do not verify their relationship status on October 7, 2026. The latest dated item here is Univision’s March 2025 entertainment report; a question about possible marriage is not proof of a marriage or present-day relationship. Without a recent direct statement from either person or reliable current reporting, their status should be treated as unconfirmed.
