How Alex Cooper is connected to Nancy Feldman
Alex Cooper played Division I soccer at Boston University during the 2013–2015 seasons, when Feldman was her head coach. Cooper later became widely known as the host of the podcast Call Her Daddy and as a media entrepreneur.
Cooper’s account of her time with Feldman reached a much larger audience through Call Her Alex, a two-part documentary about Cooper’s life and career. The documentary screened at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8, 2025, and began streaming on Hulu on June 10, 2025. Viewers looking for the source of Cooper’s account can watch Call Her Alex, subject to current availability and regional catalog restrictions.
What did Alex Cooper allege?
In the documentary and related interviews, Cooper alleged that Feldman’s attention toward her became unusually personal and different from the coach’s treatment of other players. Cooper said Feldman asked intrusive questions about her dating and sex life, made comments about her body, sought private one-on-one access and engaged in unwanted physical contact.

Cooper also described feeling that Feldman’s authority over playing opportunities and her place on the team made it difficult to challenge or escape the interactions. Cooper characterized the conduct as sexual harassment and as an inappropriate use of a coach’s position of authority.
These are allegations and Cooper’s account of her experience. The available reporting does not establish that the allegations were adjudicated or proven. It is therefore more accurate to write that Alex Cooper alleged that her former Boston University soccer coach, Nancy Feldman, sexually harassed her and used her position inappropriately than to state the allegations as established fact.
What has Boston University said?
Boston University’s reported response emphasized the university’s zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment and its commitment to student safety. The publicly reported material used for this article does not document a completed investigation specifically resolving Cooper’s allegations against Feldman.
That distinction matters. A policy statement communicates the institution’s stated standards, but it is not the same as a public finding about what happened in this particular case.

What did other former players say?
The Boston Globe later reported on a letter signed by 74 named former players and six assistant coaches, along with additional anonymous signatories. The signatories said they had not felt unsafe while playing for Feldman and had not experienced or witnessed conduct they considered sexual harassment.
The letter provides a different collective account of Feldman’s coaching environment, but it does not independently prove or disprove Cooper’s individual account. Both points can be true in the public record: other former players may describe their experiences positively or say they did not witness harassment, while Cooper describes conduct she experienced as inappropriate and threatening.
Has Nancy Feldman responded?
There is no sufficiently verified public statement from Feldman directly addressing Cooper’s allegations in the sources reviewed for this article. There is also no verified final public investigative finding specifically resolving Cooper’s claims. Those remain important limitations on what can responsibly be concluded from the available information.
