HGTV reports that the couple married on June 16, 2016, in Indianapolis, and they have two children, Jack and Charlotte “Charlie” Hawk. Steve’s professional background is known mainly from Mina’s own interview comments and HGTV’s 2023 relationship feature, so those details are dated and described below.
How Mina and Steve met and married
HGTV’s relationship feature, published October 17, 2023, says the two met at a sports bar after a mutual friend arranged a group introduction. Steve initially held back, and Mina followed up. They started dating after that second attempt.
The wedding took place at a historic 1899 building in Indianapolis. HGTV also describes the proposal as a scavenger hunt that ended at the Indianapolis Colts’ training field.
Asked about their marriage in that feature, Mina said: “We have a great relationship, and a lot of the time it’s amazing, but sometimes it sucks.” Steve, also speaking to HGTV, offered a more measured view: “I’m a lot better at communicating now than I was then.”

Steve Hawk’s work
Steve’s career is described in two places: a Thanks For Visiting interview in which Mina speaks about her husband, and HGTV’s 2023 relationship story. Both describe past or side work rather than a confirmed current job, so readers should treat them as snapshots from those publication periods.

Property management
In the interview, Mina says Steve worked in property management, overseeing apartment buildings, before he left his corporate job. She also says that the couple’s short-term rentals involved his handling of guest turnovers. Later, according to Mina, the cleaning was contracted out while Steve continued to manage guest communications. These are Mina’s descriptions of their household arrangements, not independently verified accounts of his employment history.
HawkFit
Mina identifies HawkFit as Steve’s online personal-training business and says it ran on TrueCoach, a coaching platform. HGTV’s 2023 feature also describes HawkFit as Steve’s side business. Neither source establishes how HawkFit operates today, so the business should be read as a description from 2023 and earlier.
