Gyutaro is the other Upper Six demon, Daki’s older brother, and a fighter who uses sickles, poison and a Blood Demon Art that lets him vanish and reappear in an attack. Official anime and game pages establish those details, but the pages cited here do not provide a full account of his human childhood or how he became a demon.
Who is Gyutaro?
Gyutaro is introduced as “the other Upper Six demon” and Daki’s older brother. The official Demon Slayer character profile describes the siblings as the two halves of Upper Six under Kibutsuji’s command. That shared position distinguishes them from a pair of unrelated demons: the story presents Daki and Gyutaro together as Upper Six.
The same profile lists Ryota Osaka as Gyutaro’s Japanese voice actor and Brandon McInnis as his English voice actor. In a January 16, 2022 casting announcement, Osaka said he felt pressure taking on an important Upper Rank Demon role and hoped viewers would enjoy the show through the end.
What are Gyutaro’s powers?
Sickles and poison
The official Hinokami Chronicles character page says Gyutaro attacks Tanjiro and other demon slayers with sickles and poison. The official episode 11 synopsis also describes his poison leaving Inosuke and Uzui on the brink of death. These sources establish the weapons and poison as central elements of his combat; they do not specify a complete set of limits or mechanics.

Blood Demon Art
The official episode 9 synopsis gives a clear example of Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art: he vanishes from Uzui’s sight, then reappears attacking Hinatsuru. The episode 11 synopsis describes a later, devastating use of the art that buries the city in rubble.
How is Gyutaro related to Daki?
Gyutaro is Daki’s older brother. Official material describes them as the two halves of Upper Six, rather than assigning them separate ranks. In the final battle, the episode 11 synopsis says Tanjiro and Uzui behead Gyutaro while Zenitsu and Inosuke behead Daki. The simultaneous beheadings are followed by Gyutaro’s city-burying attack, so the outcome is not simply one demon’s defeat in isolation.

They do not provide a full biography of Gyutaro’s human life or explain the circumstances of his transformation.
