Ezekiel “Zeke” Stane is Obadiah Stane’s son and a key antagonist in Marvel’s Disney+ series Ironheart, where he is played by Alden Ehrenreich. He first meets Riri Williams under a false name, and his real identity only comes out later. His television story also departs from his comics counterpart, so it helps to separate the two.
Who Zeke Stane is
Zeke is the son of Obadiah Stane, the Iron Man antagonist whose death fuels the Stane family’s rivalry with Tony Stark. He is not Obadiah himself, and the series uses that father-and-son link as the foundation of his character. Alden Ehrenreich plays him in Ironheart.
The series is set after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and follows Riri’s return to Chicago. Marvel’s official series listing describes the show as pitting technology against magic, and it names Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams and Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins/The Hood. The stated release date is June 24, 2025.
How he appears in the series
The plot details below come from a July 6, 2025 ComicBook.com recap of the series, not from an official character biography. Treat them as reported storyline facts.

He arrives as Joe McGillicuddy
Zeke first presents himself to Riri as Joe McGillicuddy, a technology dealer. In that guise he helps her complete the Ironheart suit, so the audience and Riri both see him as a useful ally before anything about his background is revealed.
His identity comes out after a prison sentence
According to the recap, Riri inadvertently lands him in prison. That is when his identity and his connection to the Stane family become public. The recap says the series treats him as having been a friend and ally to Riri, which is why his later hostility carries personal weight.

Parker Robbins pushes him into open conflict
Parker Robbins frees Zeke from prison and draws him into a more openly antagonistic role. The recap says Zeke upgrades himself with bionics and technology and acts villainously under Robbins’ influence. In the series, Robbins is the catalyst for his turn, not an element carried over from the comics.
The comics version: Iron Monger
In Marvel Comics, Ezekiel Stane becomes Iron Monger through cybernetic enhancements and seeks revenge on Tony Stark over his father’s death. That revenge-driven identity is the best-known version of the character.

What is and isn’t established
Zeke’s parentage, his Joe McGillicuddy disguise, his prison sentence, and Parker Robbins’ role are the points that the reviewed sources agree on. The sources do not give a detailed account of his comics storyline beyond the Iron Monger arc, and the series’ own statements about his future are not covered here.

No direct quotation from a cast or crew member about the character was found in the sources used here. The only quoted phrase is Marvel’s own synopsis wording, “pits technology against magic.”
Ezekiel Stane is best understood as a character who keeps the Stane name and the grudge against Stark, but who in the series is a turned friend pushed toward villainy by Parker Robbins rather than a copy of the Iron Monger.
