PerthNow reported on October 6, 2023, that Eris Censori was Bianca Censori’s uncle and that he was sentenced to death in 1982 for the murder of Perth man Michael Sideris. The report said the sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment. Those historical details are attributable to PerthNow; an original judgment or sentencing record was not located in the sources reviewed here.
What PerthNow reported about the family connection
Rachel Fenner’s PerthNow report, published October 6, 2023, identified Eris Censori as Bianca Censori’s uncle. The report places Eris within the Censori family’s Perth history, but it does not establish that Bianca was involved in or benefited from any criminal activity described. PerthNow expressly said there was no suggestion that she benefited from her father’s empire.
The report’s headline referred to Bianca as Kanye West’s wife. That wording reflects the headline at the time of publication; the sources available for this article do not establish their current relationship or legal marital status.
What the report said about Eris Censori’s criminal cases
The Sideris murder case
PerthNow reported that Eris was sentenced to death in 1982 for the murder of Michael Sideris, a Perth man, and that the sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment. These are the report’s claims, not details independently confirmed here through an original court judgment or sentencing remarks.

The same report said Eris received an eight-year prison sentence and a $20,000 fine for heroin dealing. It also reported that he was acquitted in 1985 of conspiring to smuggle cannabis into Albany Prison. Both accounts are attributed to PerthNow and should be distinguished from an independently reviewed court record.
Northbridge business and the family’s account
PerthNow reported that Eris moved to Perth in 1981 and started an amusement-machine business in Northbridge with Edmondo Censori. The article also recounted comments attributed to Faye Glascott, Leo Censori’s ex-wife, about the family business after the murder.

PerthNow attributed this sentence to Glascott and said she had told the Herald Sun in the 1990s: “Eris destroyed it with the murder.” This is PerthNow’s account of Glascott’s statement; it is not a quotation independently checked against the original Herald Sun interview.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is independently established—and what remains unverified
The Supreme Court of Western Australia says sentencing remarks are hosted on its eCourts portal for 28 days. Its general information about access does not verify Eris Censori’s case, and the sources reviewed for this article did not locate an original judgment or sentencing remarks for the historical matter. The reported case details should therefore be read as claims made by PerthNow, rather than as facts independently established here from court documents.
