Her role in the Quinn case
The official episode description for “Dominique” says Kohl is brought in to help Reacher with his workload. Her first useful contribution is an interrogation of a weapons specialist. The information from that interview leads the pair to Xavier Quinn, the man at the center of the case.
The episode plot then turns. After the effort to arrest Quinn fails, he abducts and kills Kohl. Her death is not a side detail; it is a key part of Reacher’s personal history with Quinn, and it explains why the later story treats Quinn as a personal target rather than just another suspect.

Mariah Robinson portrays Kohl in “Dominique.” The Television Academy’s 2025 performer ballot identifies Robinson in the role and includes this description of the character: “In a flashback, Sergeant First Class Dominique Kohl is brought in to help Reacher with his workload.” That ballot is the strongest official source for the casting and the character’s rank.
Is Kohl in the Reacher novels?
Yes, according to a character reference listing her as appearing in Lee Child’s Persuader. That reference is maintained by fans, not by the publisher or the production, so treat it as a pointer rather than a verified citation.
