Ben Stiller’s wife is actor Christine Taylor. The two married in 2000, separated in 2017, and reconnected during the pandemic years, when the family spent much of its time together. Taylor has a film and television career of her own, and she and their children appear in Stiller’s 2025 documentary about his parents.
Who Christine Taylor is
Christine Taylor is an American actor best known for a handful of studio comedies, several of them made alongside Stiller. Her most recognizable role is Marcia Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie. The biographical reference used for this article also credits her with The Wedding Singer and with two Stiller collaborations, Zoolander (2001) and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
The table below lists the credits named in the sources reviewed. It is not a complete filmography. The biographical source is a secondary reference, and the full list of her television work, including the 1999 television pilot Heat Vision and Jack that the same reference says she worked on with Stiller, has not been checked against a primary source.

ABC News reported the separation as a split, not a divorce, and no source reviewed describes a divorce followed by a remarriage. The phrase “separated” is therefore the accurate description of 2017.

What the couple has said about the separation and reunion
Taylor gave the most detailed public account in her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, as reported by ABC News in March 2023. She said:
“Family was always a priority, but I think Ben and I both sort of started to grow in different directions, and when we made the decision to separate, it was not something we wanted to talk publicly about.”

She described the reconnection as something that happened gradually, using the phrase “found this way back” to describe how the couple came back together while the family had time without outside demands. She also said the two continued to regard themselves as a family unit throughout the separation.
That account is the only detailed explanation either spouse has given in the sources reviewed. It is best read as Taylor’s description, not as a full account of why the marriage changed. No source reviewed establishes a specific cause beyond the growing apart she describes, or a specific date for the reconciliation.
