Dhani Harrison is the son of Beatles guitarist George Harrison—and a musician, composer, collaborator and record-label figure in his own right. His work spans solo albums, bands, film soundtracks and, in 2026, Dragonflies, his duo with producer Nigel Godrich.
Who is Dhani Harrison?
Dhani Harrison is George Harrison’s son. He grew up on his father’s Friar Park estate and later built a career across recording, composing, collaborations and label work, rather than limiting his work to his family connection. A 2026 Los Angeles Times profile reports that he helped complete George Harrison’s final solo album, Brainwashed, after his father died in 2001.

What music has Dhani Harrison released?
His catalog includes solo releases, group projects, collaborations and original motion picture soundtracks. Harrison’s official music catalog lists soundtrack work including Seattle Road, Learning to Drive and Beautiful Creatures, as well as recordings from his bands and collaborations.
Selected releases on Apple Music provide an orientation to his later work, but not a complete discography:
#1 Best Overall
- The new Abbey Road release features the new stereo album mix, sourced directly from the original eight-track session tapes
- IN///PARALLEL (2017), a solo album.
- Innerstanding (2023), a solo album that Harrison’s official site lists as available on vinyl and CD.
- Dreamers in the Field (2024).
- Ascending Into Silence (2025).
- Dragonflies (2026), by the duo of Dhani Harrison and Nigel Godrich.
Apple Music’s artist page lists these releases. The broader catalog also includes soundtracks, singles, live recordings and guest appearances, so the selected timeline should not be read as a complete list.
What bands and collaborations has he been part of?
thenewno2
thenewno2 is one of the group projects represented in Harrison’s official catalog. The band’s recordings form part of a career that also includes his solo albums and soundtrack compositions.
Rank #2
- In their short eight-year career from 1962-1970, The Beatles changed music forever
Fistful of Mercy
Fistful of Mercy is another collaboration in the catalog. Its releases sit alongside, rather than in place of, Harrison’s work under his own name.
Dragonflies with Nigel Godrich
Dragonflies is the duo of Harrison and producer Nigel Godrich. Dark Horse Records announced its self-titled debut album for September 18, 2026, and Apple Music lists it as a 2026 release. The project pairs Harrison’s vocals with Godrich’s tape-loop approach and string arrangements by David Campbell, according to the Los Angeles Times interview. Harrison described the sound as “a bit creaky” and said it was “a cool place to start — like you’re on a sinking ship.”

How is Dhani Harrison connected to George Harrison’s music?
Beyond being George Harrison’s son, Dhani contributed to the completion of Brainwashed, his father’s final solo album, after George died in 2001. The family connection is also part of Dhani’s biography: he grew up at Friar Park. It does not define the full scope of his own catalog, which includes solo records, group work, collaborations and screen scoring.
