Melvin is a journalist and television anchor. The Associated Press reported on November 14, 2024, that he had been selected to replace Hoda Kotb as co-host of the 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. hours of NBC’s Today. That report establishes the appointment; it does not by itself confirm later changes to his role.
