Marriage: what each source says and when
Most of the marriage details come from Candace’s own words, so the date each statement was made matters.

Valeri Bure’s hockey career
The Calgary Flames published a profile of Valeri on October 27, 2016. It is the most detailed career source for this article, and its details reflect the time it was written. He played for Calgary before moving on. His last NHL seasons were with:
- Florida Panthers
- St. Louis Blues
- Dallas Stars
According to the profile, he retired at 31. Persistent back problems were the main reason, along with a failed comeback attempt after back surgery. He also said he wanted more time with his family.
After hockey: Bure Family Wines in Napa Valley
The same profile says Valeri developed an interest in winemaking after falling in love with Napa Valley and meeting local winemakers. It names three wines the winery was producing at the time: Majesty Blend, Nuit Blanche, and Duration.
The winery sold to mailing-list clients, and the profile reported a wait of two and a half to three years to join that list. That figure describes 2016 and should not be treated as current access information.
