Caitlyn Kiramman is a Piltover peacekeeper and marksman. In Arcane she works as a Piltover Enforcer, and her partnership with Vi turns openly romantic in season two, where the two share their first kiss. In League of Legends, Riot’s champion profile says Caitlyn is often paired with Vi, but it does not describe them as a couple. The romance is an Arcane storyline; the game bio describes a working partnership.

Who Caitlyn is in Arcane

Netflix identifies Caitlyn as a Piltover Enforcer and lists Katie Leung as her voice actor. Arcane is based on League of Legends, and the series was created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee and produced by Fortiche Production in partnership with Riot Games. Within the show, Caitlyn is the Enforcer who keeps order in a city that is splitting along class and political lines, and her role puts her in direct opposition to the criminal side of Piltover and Zaun.

Netflix’s production material describes season two as beginning after Vi’s falling out with Caitlyn and her sister Jinx. That detail matters for the romance: the two characters are bound by a shared past and by conflicting loyalties, so their closeness is never purely personal.

Caitlyn in League of Legends

Riot’s champion profile calls Caitlyn Piltover’s finest peacekeeper and the city’s best shot at stopping its criminals. It describes her as an intelligent marksman who carries a one-of-a-kind hextech rifle. The same profile says she is often paired with Vi, whose more impetuous nature contrasts with Caitlyn’s.

That wording is about a partnership in the game’s lore, not a romantic relationship. Riot does not use the word couple in the profile, so readers should not read a romance into the game bio.

Are Caitlyn and Vi together?

The answer depends on which version you mean.

In Arcane

Season two includes Caitlyn and Vi’s first kiss. In a Los Angeles Times interview, co-executive producer Amanda Overton, who wrote the scene, describes the built-up passion and longing between the characters. The kiss makes the romance explicit on screen, but it does not resolve the conflict between them, and the series does not settle every detail of their future.

Hailee Steinfeld, who voices Vi, told Netflix Tudum that the relationship involves “a lot of push and pull.” She said Vi relies on Caitlyn, trusts her, and that the two make a great team. She also called the relationship “so beautiful and so complex.”

In League of Legends

The game profile supports a professional or partner reading, not a romantic one. Riot says Caitlyn is often paired with Vi, and the profile does not define them as a romantic couple. Any romance you see in the show should not be carried back into game lore without an official source.

What is and is not established

The first kiss and the on-screen romantic development are established by the series and by its creators and cast.

Riot’s profile establishes that Caitlyn and Vi are often paired in the game, but it does not establish a romantic label.

No formal post-finale relationship label has been established in League of Legends canon, so game-canon claims about their romance should be avoided.
