Marta Xargay’s basketball career
Xargay developed in the Spanish basketball system and played for Uni Girona before joining Perfumerías Avenida, one of Spain’s prominent women’s basketball clubs. Her later club career took her outside Spain, including stops with:
- USK Praha in the Czech Republic
- Dynamo Kursk in Russia
- Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA

Sports Illustrated reported in 2023 that Xargay had retired from basketball. There is no reliable basis for describing her as a current WNBA player or as an active professional athlete.
