The Adrien most readers mean is Adrien Agreste, the teenage lead of the animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. The best-supported answer for the recent storyline is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, who fights as Ladybug. The official Season 5 synopsis shows Adrien growing more interested in her, and a fan-maintained character listing names her as his girlfriend. The sources available do not confirm whether that relationship is still the same in Season 6, so treat “current status” as the open part of the answer.
Who Adrien is in this context
The title does not name a series, so this article assumes the Adrien from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. The official series site presents Marinette and Adrien as teenagers who transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir. If you were thinking of a different Adrien, the rest of this article will not apply to that character.
What the official Season 5 synopsis says
The official synopsis for Season 5, episode 6, “Determination,” describes Marinette and Adrien wondering about their feelings for each other. It states that Adrien is becoming increasingly interested in Marinette and wonders whether she could be more than a friend. That is the clearest official evidence of a romantic arc between the two.
The synopsis describes a development in feelings. It does not state that the two are officially dating, and it does not describe what happens after that episode. Read it as the start of a romance, not a confirmed relationship status.

What the fan-maintained listing says
A fan-maintained character page lists Marinette Dupain-Cheng as Adrien’s girlfriend and Kagami Tsurugi as his ex-girlfriend. This is secondary evidence. It is useful for seeing how the fan community organizes the relationships, but it is not an official statement and it does not give dates.
Kagami should not be presented as his current girlfriend. The listing places her in the past tense.

What remains unresolved
The sources gathered do not establish whether Adrien and Marinette are in a relationship in Season 6, or whether the Season 5 development was resolved, paused, or changed. Official overviews confirm that the later seasons exist, but they do not summarize the romantic storylines in those seasons.
To check the latest status, look at the official episode synopses for Season 6 and any later season listed on the official series site, then read the full episodes. Synopses are short and may not capture every relationship detail. Fan wikis can be useful for timelines, but they should be checked against the episodes themselves.

How to answer the question for a specific episode
- Identify the season and episode number you are asking about.
- Read that episode’s official synopsis for statements about Adrien and Marinette.
- Watch the episode if the synopsis does not settle the question. Romantic status is often shown through dialogue or action rather than stated outright.
- Treat any fan listing as a guide to where to look, not as the final answer.
On the evidence available, Marinette is the character tied to Adrien’s recent romantic storyline. Whether that holds for the newest episodes requires checking those episodes directly.
