What does the ‘Disclaimer’ tribute say?
A November 8, 2024 report on the finale says it thanks Steve Golin and Lynn Fainchtein. The available reporting supports describing this as a closing acknowledgment of their contributions to the production—not as a separately explained dedication with a confirmed backstory.
Apple’s series announcement lists Golin among the executive producers. Fainchtein’s professional biography says Alfonso Cuarón invited her to supervise and create music for his Apple TV+ series, and the finale report identifies her as the show’s music supervisor. No direct creator statement explaining why these two people were named has been established in the cited sources.
Who was Steve Golin?
Steve Golin (March 6, 1955–April 21, 2019) was an American film and television producer. The Television Academy records that he launched Propaganda Films with Joni Sighvatsson in the mid-1980s and founded Anonymous Content in 1999 after selling Propaganda. It also notes that he won the Best Picture Oscar as a producer of Spotlight. Apple credited him as an executive producer on Disclaimer.

Because Golin died in 2019, before the series premiered, the finale acknowledgment is a posthumous recognition of a producer credited on the project. The sources establish that credit, but do not explain the details of his involvement or the creators’ specific reason for including his name.
Who was Lynn Fainchtein?
Lynn Fainchtein was a music supervisor and producer whose work spanned film, television, radio, journalism, and recording, according to her professional biography. That biography describes a career with projects for companies and platforms including Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Apple, Fox, and Star+.

Her biography says Cuarón invited her in 2022 to supervise and create music for his first television series for Apple TV+. The project was then referred to as Augustus and was released as Disclaimer. The finale report specifically identifies Fainchtein as the series’ music supervisor.
Fainchtein’s professional site describes the purpose of that work this way: “Music is our passion and our craft. Our job is to propose music that complements the narrative and emotion of a story.” That statement explains her approach to music supervision; it is not an explanation of the finale tribute.

What is ‘Disclaimer’?
Disclaimer is a seven-episode limited series written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón, based on Renée Knight’s novel. Apple announced its premiere for October 11, 2024, with episodes released weekly through November 15, 2024. The series stars Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline.
Apple’s announcement provides the series details and Golin’s executive producer credit. The report about the finale supplies the account of the closing thanks to Golin and Fainchtein; the distinction matters because the official announcement does not itself explain the acknowledgment.
