Michael and Carole Middleton are the parents of Catherine, Princess of Wales, widely known before her marriage as Kate Middleton. The Royal Family says Catherine was born in Reading on 9 January 1982. In May 1984, when she was two, the family moved to Amman, Jordan, because Michael’s work took them there for two and a half years. They later returned to West Berkshire.
