Dan Smyers’ wife is Abby Smyers. In an Entertainment Tonight interview published June 11, 2017, Smyers said they had married in May of that year; the interview identified her as Abby Law, her name in contemporaneous coverage. Smyers said, “We write a lot of love songs and obviously, a lot of them have new meaning now.” He was describing how being in serious relationships had changed the meaning of the duo’s love songs, not naming Abby as the sole inspiration for any particular track.

Shay Mooney’s wife is Hannah Mooney, identified as Hannah Billingsley in their 2017 wedding coverage. Entertainment Tonight reported that they married in October 2017 at Mooney’s parents’ farm in Arkansas. In the June 2017 interview, Mooney joked about Dan’s wedding planning: “I kind of watched Dan go through [wedding planning], you know. He kind of let Abby take the reins and that’s exactly what I’m doing.”
How many children do Shay and Hannah have?

After announcing in July 2024 that they were expecting a fourth child, the couple announced Aubrey’s birth in January 2025. The Bump reported that he was born January 21, weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and was described as healthy in the parents’ announcement. Shay has also spoken about parenting. In a January 2024 report on his conversation with Hannah on her podcast Unexpected with Hannah Love, iHeartCountry quoted him reflecting on the example parents set for children: “It’s crazy how much they learn through just your behavior and the way that you react to things, and that was a very sobering thought to me, moving forward, of just like, ‘what do I want them to learn?’” iHeartCountry’s report places the comment in the context of balancing parenthood and career.
