Jasper is not a separate person: he is the doll Christopher used in his act. In Season 3, Episode 4, Victor recalls Christopher arguing with Jasper. In the flashback, the doll appears to move or speak without a visible operator. That unsettling moment is part of why Victor wants to find Jasper.
What happened to Victor’s town when he was a child?
Victor remembers that Christopher began seeing the same mysterious symbol that Jade fixates on in the present. After that, Christopher stopped making people laugh and spent more time alone. The show connects this change to the disaster that followed, but Victor’s account does not reveal every step or establish a complete explanation for the massacre.

In the remembered events, Victor and his sister Eloise were put in a hiding place by their mother, who wanted Christopher not to find them. Victor later woke to find the town’s residents dead. He had survived. Christopher is strongly associated with the tragedy in Victor’s memories, but the available account does not show precisely what happened or prove the mechanics of his role.
Why does Victor need to find Jasper?
Victor thinks Jasper could help him remember what happened. As Dexerto reports, he says, “Jasper’s the one who can tell us what happened.” The line expresses Victor’s hope that finding the doll will unlock a missing memory; it does not confirm that Jasper has answers or can speak independently.

Was Jasper really talking to Christopher?
The Season 3 flashback depicts Jasper appearing to move or speak without a visible operator. That is what the scene shows, not a confirmed explanation of how it happens. An explainer from Its Prime Media speculates that a supernatural force could have used the doll to influence Christopher, but the cited coverage does not establish that theory as fact. The scene also does not prove that Jasper made Christopher act as he did or caused the massacre.
