What the published figures show
Two sources offer selected loss counts, but they do not provide a consistent, audited top-20 list.

- Kane: Last Word on Pro Wrestling reported 110 PPV/PLE losses in an article published October 31, 2025. That article gives conflicting figures for his total matches, so its match total should not be relied on without independent verification. Last Word on Pro Wrestling

These figures come from different publications and dates, and the sources do not establish a shared event scope or counting method. Combining them into one leaderboard would imply a comparability the available evidence does not support.
Why the Undertaker’s 11th-place claim is unconfirmed
The historical snapshots place The Undertaker fifth and sixth at different points, while the 2025 article reports selected totals rather than a top-20 table. None of these sources confirms that he is 11th in a complete ranking. Without the match-by-match data behind that claim, neither his stated position nor the full list of 20 names and totals can be verified.

What a reliable PPV/PLE loss ranking needs
A defensible ranking needs a single dataset and an explicit cutoff date. It also needs to say which events and outcomes count. A reader should be able to tell whether the tally includes only WWE-branded major events or other televised and network specials, and how it treats multi-person matches, draws, no-contests, battle royals and Royal Rumble matches. It should also explain whether a wrestler’s different ring names are grouped together.
For meaningful comparisons, a leaderboard should show qualifying appearances as well as defeats. A raw loss count can rise with career length and event participation; it is not a measure of a wrestler’s ability or standing. Losses can also serve storylines and help establish opponents, so the number alone says little about the role a performer played.
