In the second half of 2024, Globo launched two novelas: Mania de Você, in the 9 p.m. slot, on September 9, and Volta por Cima, in the 7 p.m. slot, on September 30. No Rancho Fundo was also part of Globo’s 2024 lineup, but it had premiered earlier, on April 15.

What is Volta por Cima about?
Claudia Souto wrote Volta por Cima, with artistic direction by André Câmara. Its opening episodes center on Madalena and her family after her father, Lindomar, dies in a bus accident. Madalena also faces her fiancé Chico’s affair with Roxelle and begins working in party decoration. Jão and the bus company are among the other elements of the opening arc, according to gshow’s episode guide.

Was No Rancho Fundo a second-half premiere?
No. No Rancho Fundo premiered on April 15, 2024, in Globo’s 6 p.m. slot, replacing Elas por Elas. It belongs in an overview of the year’s lineup, but not among the novelas that debuted in the second half.
Written by Mario Teixeira with artistic direction by Allan Fiterman, the novela follows the Leonel Limoeiro family in the Cariri backlands after the discovery of a precious stone changes their lives. Globo’s official catalog describes it as a romantic comedy. Its Globoplay title page lists the 2024 release and credits; availability may vary by territory and change over time.

Globo’s January 2024 programming announcement placed No Rancho Fundo among plans for the first half of the year; its April calendar confirmed the April 15 start. This identifies the two relevant second-half launches, not a complete schedule of every novela airing during those months.
