YouTube’s title field—not a special cloud streaming service—is where you enter an Indian-language title for a live broadcast. Google’s Live Streaming API documents the broadcast title as text, with a limit of 1 to 100 characters. YouTube also supports language labels and localized video titles. The documentation reviewed does not explicitly guarantee every Indian script in every interface or third-party workflow, so check the title in YouTube Studio after entering it.
Do you need a cloud service to title a YouTube stream in an Indian language?
No special cloud service is identified for this purpose. The title belongs to the YouTube broadcast—the public-facing live event—not to the service carrying the audio and video. You can set or edit the broadcast title through YouTube’s metadata tools; a cloud encoder’s job is to send the stream, not to provide a different title-language capability. Google’s LiveBroadcasts documentation describes the title field and says it can be set by modifying the broadcast resource or the corresponding video resource.
For example, you can enter a Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, or other Indian-language title in YouTube’s broadcast title field. That practical answer follows from the documented text field, but the API documentation is not a script-by-script compatibility guarantee for every YouTube surface, keyboard, or encoder. Verify the saved title in the intended YouTube interface.
What YouTube means by “title” and “stream”
YouTube’s terminology can cause confusion: a broadcast is the viewer-facing live event, while a stream is the audio-video feed sent to YouTube. The broadcast title is the public metadata viewers see. The separate stream resource has a title property too, but YouTube’s lifecycle documentation says that property is not visible to users. The broadcasts-and-streams guide explains the distinction.

The broadcast insert API specifies that the title must be between 1 and 100 characters. This is a character-count limit, not a rule that Indian-language titles require a particular language setting or streaming provider. YouTube LiveBroadcasts: insert documents the constraint.
How language settings and localized titles fit in
YouTube video metadata includes a default language for the title and description, and can include localized titles. These metadata settings are separate from the incoming live video stream. They can help label or present metadata appropriately, but they are not evidence that a cloud encoder is needed to accept Indian-language characters. See YouTube’s Videos API documentation.

For a documentary channel, for instance, the live event can have a title in the language its intended audience reads, while the actual program audio remains a separate matter. If you want different viewers to see localized metadata, use YouTube’s localized-title features where available; do not confuse that with changing the stream itself.
When cloud language support matters: captions, not titles
If by “supports Indian languages” you mean live captions or translation of spoken audio, that is a different requirement. Google Cloud’s Live Stream API documents AI-generated captions for HLS and DASH, with supported languages depending on region. In asia-south1, its listed caption codes are en-IN, en-GB, and en-US—English variants, not a general list of Indian languages. The guide documents AI-generated translation only in us-west1 and europe-west1. Those details describe caption workflows, not title entry. See Google Cloud’s caption and translation guide.

YouTube’s help page also notes a specific limitation for the described 608/708 caption workflow: it currently supports one caption track, although the underlying standard allows up to four. This is not a limit on title languages, and it should not be generalized to every caption-delivery method. Check YouTube’s live caption requirements for the applicable workflow.
