The compound seen on screen is a production creation, not one complete house visitors can tour.
Where was Sirens filmed?
Netflix’s location guide names several New York locations used for the series: Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve for the Kell estate grounds, Lloyd Harbor for the small beach town, Steiner Studios in Brooklyn for the house interiors, and Buffalo for a small portion of the filming. The show’s island setting, Port Haven, is fictional. Netflix’s account of the locations connects Devon’s Buffalo origins with the contrast between her background and the wealthy world she encounters at Cliff House.
Where is the house in Sirens?
The grounds associated with Cliff House are part of Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve on Long Island’s Lloyd Neck. However, the imposing Kell compound shown in the series is not a single intact mansion at the park. Director Nicole Kassell said the on-screen house “does not exist” as depicted; production design and visual effects helped make the location work as a billionaire’s compound. Kassell described the challenge as creating that look within the production’s budget.
Grounds and interiors were filmed in different places
Netflix says the estate interiors were created on a soundstage at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, rather than filmed throughout a mansion at Caumsett. The screen setting combines location work and constructed interiors, shaped to feel both believable and uncanny. Kassell said that “uncanny” was a touchstone for the look across departments.

What real places stand in for Port Haven?

These locations do not make Port Haven a real island town. Netflix describes the series as unfolding over one explosive weekend at the Kells’ lavish island estate, with women, power, and class at its center. Netflix’s Media Center description gives the fictional story context.
Is Port Haven a real place?
No. Port Haven is the fictional island setting of Sirens. Netflix’s location guide identifies real filming sites in New York, including Lloyd Harbor and Caumsett, but does not identify Port Haven as a real destination. The real places supplied parts of the show’s setting; they should not be treated as interchangeable with its fictional geography.

Can you visit the Sirens filming locations?
Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve is a real public preserve. New York State Parks lists hiking, bird watching, nature photography, fishing, and nature study among its activities, and provides official maps and a bird checklist. Its visitor page says Marshall Field III purchased 1,750 acres in 1921 to create the estate; New York State acquired the land in 1961. Check the official park page for current hours, fees, access restrictions, and permits before visiting.
- The preserve’s public activities do not establish access to private interiors, filming sets, or a complete mansion from the series.
- Do not assume that a production location is open for tours or that visitors can enter restricted areas.
- Lloyd Harbor is the production’s named stand-in for the beach town; Netflix’s location information does not identify specific streets or provide a house address.
Why does the estate look like one enormous compound?
The series builds the impression of a single lavish island property through a combination of real grounds, studio interiors, production design, and visual effects. That approach lets Cliff House function as a unified setting in the story without requiring the entire on-screen mansion to exist as one visitable building. Kassell said the production searched in the Boston area, Cape Cod, New York, and Long Island before finding the right New York house for its approach to the setting.
