Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s publicly reported story runs from a friendship-bracelet anecdote at a July 2023 concert to their wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026. They announced their engagement on August 26, 2025. The exact dates they began dating and got engaged have not been established in the cited accounts.
How did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce meet?
The public origin story begins at Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in July 2023. Kelce later said on the New Heights podcast that he had hoped to give Swift a friendship bracelet bearing his phone number, but did not get the chance to meet her at the concert. That account explains how the story became public; it does not establish when they privately began dating. The Associated Press recounts Kelce’s version, and the Los Angeles Times timeline also traces the origin story to the show.
