Studio and location filming in Malta
Water scenes at Malta Film Studio
The Cinemaholic’s filming-location report says the bulk of the film was shot at Malta Film Studio in Kalkara. It describes the facility as having an indoor tank and two large outdoor water tanks, and reports that the crew used the outdoor tanks for waterborne scenes.
Valletta and Mediterranean waters
The report also names Valletta and nearby Mediterranean waters as filming locations. It says some wide shots of the boat were filmed on location in the Mediterranean, rather than entirely in tanks.

Gozo and Comino
The Cinemaholic report names Gozo and Comino for certain sequences. Those specific island locations are not independently confirmed by the other location source, so they are best treated as details reported by that outlet rather than a complete verified location list.
