The 2025 F1 Chinese Grand Prix is no longer live. The race took place at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday, March 23, 2025. If you want to watch it now, the best options are the full replay in the F1 TV archive or Formula 1’s official race highlights. U.S. viewers can also look for scheduled replays on the free, ad-supported Formula 1 Channel, although its schedule may not include this particular Grand Prix.
How to watch the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix now
1. Watch the full race replay on F1 TV
The F1 TV archive lists a full replay of the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix with a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 3 minutes. In the United States, F1 TV Access is described as including delayed race replays and access to the wider Formula 1 archive. Replay access and subscription availability vary by country, so check the plan offered in your market before subscribing.
For viewers who want more than the television feed, F1 TV’s live-event service historically offered practice, Sprint Qualifying, the Sprint, qualifying and the Grand Prix, along with onboard cameras, team radio, pre- and post-race programming, and multiple commentary languages. Those features describe the service and its live-event offering at the time; they should not be read as a current live option for the 2025 race.

2. Watch the official Formula 1 highlights
Formula 1 has an official highlights video for the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix running approximately 7 minutes and 52 seconds. It is the quickest way to revisit the major incidents and finishing order without watching the entire race. Because it is a race recap, expect spoilers immediately.
3. Check the Formula 1 Channel for a free scheduled replay
In the United States, the Formula 1 Channel is a free ad-supported streaming channel featuring scheduled replays, highlights, classic races and analysis. Formula 1’s current distribution announcement lists services including Fubo, LG Channels, Plex, Pluto TV, Prime Video, Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel and VIDAA.
The channel’s availability and schedule can change. It is therefore a useful no-subscription option to check, but it would be inaccurate to promise that the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix is currently scheduled. Search the channel’s listings for the race title before relying on it.
What happened in the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix?
Oscar Piastri won, with Lando Norris second and George Russell third. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were later disqualified, so viewers who only remember the on-track finishing order may see a different result in the official classification. Watch the highlights or replay with that spoiler in mind.
Historical U.S. TV schedule
The following was the U.S. broadcast schedule published for the 2025 event. It is included for reference only; these were not upcoming programs after the March 2025 weekend.
| Session | Date | U.S. broadcast listing | Network |
|---|---|---|---|
| Practice 1 | Thursday, March 20, 2025 | 11:25 p.m. ET | ESPN2 |
| Sprint Qualifying | Friday, March 21, 2025 | 3:25 a.m. ET | ESPN2 |
| Sprint | Friday, March 21, 2025 | 10:55 p.m. ET | ESPNU |
| Grand Prix qualifying | Saturday, March 22, 2025 | 2:55 a.m. ET | ESPN2 |
| Grand Prix | Sunday, March 23, 2025 | 2:55 a.m. ET | ESPN |
There is a small but important timing distinction. The official Formula 1 schedule listed the race start at 07:00 local track time, which corresponds to approximately 2:00 a.m. Eastern Time. ESPN’s published U.S. listing gave 2:55 a.m. ET for its telecast. Those times should not be silently treated as the same thing: one is the official track schedule, while the other is the broadcaster’s listed program time.
How the race was streamed in the U.S.
At the time of the 2025 event, U.S. viewers were directed to ESPN’s Formula 1 streaming hub for the ESPN coverage. Depending on the viewer’s television or streaming package, access could involve ESPN’s digital service or a live-TV streaming bundle. Exact package requirements and authentication rules varied, so the ESPN listing was the appropriate place to confirm access during the event weekend.

- 【Outstanding Sony IMX335 Sensor & Image Quality】This dashcam features a Sony IMX335 high-sensitivity image sensor, delivering exceptional detail and clarity for reliable recording. With a 6-glass lens and F/1.8 aperture, it effectively captures clear images even in dim-light conditions. Most importantly, WDR technologies enhance image clarity and reduce noise, ensuring outstanding image quality in both bright and low-light conditions.
- 【Super Night Vision with WDR】Master low-light driving! This car camera combines F1.8 ultra-large aperture, WDR technology, and enhanced night vision to reveal critical details like license plates and road signs in near-total darkness. Whether in unlit parking lots or backroads, it delivers sharp, balanced video with reduced noise—turning challenging night drives into well-documented journeys
- 【Smart WiFi & App Integration】Effortlessly connect your smartphone to the dashcam's WiFi via the dedicated app for instant access to front and rear camera feeds. Smoothly view, download, and share 2.7K recordings—ideal for preserving scenic road trips or safeguarding critical evidence. Customize resolution and G-Sensor collision detection directly from your device, eliminating complicated manual adjustments
- 【24/7 Parking Surveillance with G-Sensor】Protect your vehicle around the clock! This dash cam activates time-lapse recording and collision detection when parked (requires hardwire kit UP03). - 【Seamless Loop Recording, Compatible with Memory Cards】The 2.7K A500S dashcam automatically overwrites the oldest recordings with new footage once the TF card is full, thereby preventing damage to the memory card caused by frequent read/write operations. Recording will not stop due to insufficient storage space, even during long journeys or when the vehicle is parked. This device supports 16–128GB Micro-SD memory cards (sold separately).
F1 TV Pro was the official direct-streaming alternative in markets where it was offered. It provided live coverage of every session, including the Sprint weekend sessions, with features such as onboard views, team radio and additional F1 programming. F1 TV Pro was not available in every country, and local broadcast rights could prevent it from being offered even where F1 TV itself was available.
Watching F1 TV on a television
F1 TV announced support for platforms including Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku. Platform support, app availability and subscription access were not identical in every market. A compatible device does not itself include an F1 subscription or bypass regional rights restrictions.
If your television lacks a supported app, an Amazon Fire TV Stick can be one compatible hardware route for streaming F1 TV, provided the app and subscription are available in your region. Treat it as streaming hardware only: it does not guarantee access to the 2025 race, include an F1 plan or change the rights available in your country.
F1 TV Premium was also introduced with additional features including 4K Ultra HD/HDR and personalized Multiview on supported devices. Those features depended on the plan, device and market.
Audio-only coverage
SiriusXM carried the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix weekend in North America. Its listing placed the race coverage on ESPN Xtra, channel 81, and through the SiriusXM app, with live race coverage listed at 3:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 23. The announcement also said listeners would receive the BBC 5 Live radio broadcast for each event.

Where viewers outside the U.S. could watch
Formula 1 broadcasting rights differ by territory. F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Premium are available only in selected locations, and a country’s local broadcaster may hold exclusive rights. The safest approach is to use Formula 1’s official regional broadcaster information and select your country instead of applying the U.S. ESPN schedule globally.

In mainland China, Formula 1 renewed its partnership with Tencent for coverage of the Grand Prix, qualifying, practice and Sprint programming. The partnership included Tencent Video, Tencent Sports, WeChat, Tencent News, QQ and related Tencent platforms. Availability and exact presentation can change, so viewers in mainland China should confirm the current listing on the relevant Tencent service.

- ESPN is a historical reference here. It carried the U.S. 2025 arrangement, but it is not a live destination for a race that has already happened.
- F1 TV availability is regional. The service may offer live coverage in one country and only delayed replays or archive access in another.
- Do not assume Apple TV carried this race in the U.S. U.S. Apple TV Formula 1 rights began with the 2026 season, after the 2025 ESPN arrangement.
- Check whether a replay is complete. A full-race archive, condensed replay, highlights package and scheduled channel airing are different products.
- Expect spoilers. The official result was Piastri, Norris, Russell, with Leclerc and Hamilton disqualified.
