NAZA is in theatrical release as of October 9, 2026, with screenings expanding across the United States and internationally. Check local cinema listings for dates and showtimes. The Guardian says the film is planned to stream free on its website in late November, after its cinema run; that online release is not live yet.
Where can you see NAZA now?
The film is screening in cinemas. The Guardian reported that the rollout began earlier in New York and expanded to Los Angeles and other U.S. cities on October 9. International screenings are being arranged with mk2 across multiple territories. The planned rollout covers the United States and 55 other territories, but that plan does not mean every location has already screened the film.

Because dates and availability vary by location, search for NAZA on nearby cinema and festival websites and check the venue’s current schedule before making plans. The film is directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor. Film at Lincoln Center lists a 77-minute runtime, while the Vancouver International Film Festival lists 80 minutes; “about 80 minutes” is the clearest general description. Film at Lincoln Center lists Hebrew and English dialogue with English subtitles.
When will NAZA stream online?
The Guardian has said NAZA is planned to stream free on the Guardian’s website in late November 2026, after its theatrical run. This is an announced target, not a confirmed live release date. As of October 9, 2026, the stream is still in the future. The available release information establishes cinemas and the planned Guardian stream; it does not establish a video-on-demand rental, subscription-streaming release, or physical edition.

What is NAZA about?
NAZA is a 2026 documentary about systems used in Israel’s bombing of Gaza and the expected civilian toll. Its title refers to a military acronym that, according to the Guardian and Film at Lincoln Center, Israeli intelligence uses euphemistically to indicate the number of civilians expected to be killed in an airstrike.
The film was shot at night on rooftops in Tel Aviv and is built around interviews with 24 anonymous Israeli intelligence and military members, according to the Guardian. It builds on investigations published by The Guardian, +972 Magazine, and Local Call between 2023 and 2025. The film won the Special Jury Prize at the 2026 Venice Film Festival. The Guardian and JW Films produced it; Jonathan Glazer is an executive producer, and mk2 handles world sales.

The film presents the filmmakers’ account of targeting systems and their effects. The Associated Press reports that the Israeli military categorically denied the filmmakers’ findings. The military acknowledged using AI, while saying intelligence officers select targets and operational commanders decide whether to strike. It also said some interviewees did not appear to understand the larger targeting process. These are opposing accounts: the film’s allegations should not be treated as independently established solely because they appear in the documentary.
In the official Venice Biennale listing, co-directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor said: “We made this film out of a sense of obligation to use our position as Israelis to examine the systems behind the mass killing of Palestinian civilians for which our country is responsible.”
