Jason X is also listed on free ad-supported services and Kanopy, while Jason Goes to Hell, Freddy vs. Jason, and the 2009 reboot are best approached through current rental, purchase, or physical-media listings. Availability below is a late-July 2026 snapshot and can change.
All 12 Friday the 13th movies: the 2026 U.S. streaming guide
The first eight theatrical films are the easiest to watch in one place. Paramount’s official franchise guide currently lists Friday the 13th through Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan on Paramount+. The remaining four films are more fragmented: Jason Goes to Hell and the 2009 Friday the 13th are primarily digital rentals or purchases, Jason X has several free ad-supported and library options, and Freddy vs. Jason should be checked as a rental or purchase because subscription listings conflict.
Availability note: This is a U.S. snapshot based on Paramount’s official guide and current U.S. JustWatch listings checked in late July 2026, with additional context from TheWrap and Arrow Video. Streaming rights, plan eligibility, ads, and digital storefront listings can change without notice.
Where to watch each film
| Release | Film | Best current U.S. option | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1980 | Friday the 13th | Paramount+ | Paramount’s official guide includes the original among its first eight films. Other services may appear in rotating listings. |
| 1981 | Friday the 13th Part 2 | Paramount+ | Included in Paramount’s first-eight franchise list. |
| 1982 | Friday the 13th Part III | Paramount+ | JustWatch also lists options involving fuboTV and YouTube TV, depending on the current plan or channel availability. |
| 1984 | Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter | Paramount+ | fuboTV and YouTube TV have also appeared in current listings. One listing showed a fuboTV availability window through September 1, 2026, so verify before starting a marathon. |
| 1985 | Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning | Paramount+ | Included in Paramount’s official first-eight list and current subscription listings. |
| 1986 | Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives | Paramount+ | Included in Paramount’s official first-eight list and current subscription listings. |
| 1988 | Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood | Paramount+ | Included in Paramount’s official first-eight list and current subscription listings. |
| 1989 | Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan | Paramount+ | Included in Paramount’s official first-eight list and current subscription listings. |
| 1993 | Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday | Rent or buy digitally; physical 4K/Blu-ray | JustWatch found no free streaming option and listed Amazon Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home for rental or purchase. Arrow Video also offers a limited-edition 4K release. |
| 2001 | Jason X | YouTube Free, Tubi, or Kanopy | JustWatch lists free ad-supported viewing on YouTube Free and Tubi, plus Kanopy. Kanopy generally requires access through a participating library or educational institution. Digital rental and purchase options are also listed. |
| 2003 | Freddy vs. Jason | Check digital rental or purchase listings first | Subscription availability is inconsistent across current guides. The safest approach is to verify a live rental or purchase listing rather than assume it is included with a subscription. |
| 2009 | Friday the 13th (reboot) | Rent or buy digitally | JustWatch’s July 29, 2026 U.S. check found no free option and listed Amazon Video, the Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. |
How to stream the franchise with the fewest services
Plan A: Use Paramount+ for the first eight
For most viewers, the simplest starting point is a Paramount+ subscription. It currently covers the original film and Parts II through VIII, taking you from the 1980 Camp Crystal Lake story through Jason Takes Manhattan. Search for each title inside the app rather than assuming that a franchise collection page includes every installment.
That distinction matters because Paramount’s guide lists the first eight, not all 12 theatrical films. You should expect to make a second arrangement for Jason Goes to Hell, Freddy vs. Jason, and the 2009 reboot. Jason X may be available free elsewhere, so it does not necessarily require another paid subscription.
Plan B: Mix subscription, free services, and rentals
If you want to minimize additional subscriptions, watch the first eight on Paramount+, look for Jason X on Tubi or YouTube Free, and use Kanopy if your library or school provides access. Rent or purchase Jason Goes to Hell and the 2009 film when you reach them, then check the current listing for Freddy vs. Jason.
“Free” has qualifications here. Tubi and YouTube Free are ad-supported catalogs, while Kanopy is free only to viewers whose participating library or educational institution grants access. Catalogs can also rotate, so a title visible in a search result is not necessarily guaranteed to remain available through the end of the year.
Plan C: Buy or rent the difficult titles individually
For Jason Goes to Hell and the 2009 reboot, the most dependable online route in the current U.S. snapshot is a digital rental or purchase. The listed storefronts include Amazon Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home, although the exact title, edition, price, and rental window should be checked at the time of viewing. A digital purchase is still tied to the retailer’s account and service terms; it is not the same kind of ownership as a disc.
Why Freddy vs. Jason needs a live check
Freddy vs. Jason is the least certain title in the current guide. TheWrap’s February 13, 2026 streaming roundup treated it as unavailable to stream, while other aggregators have reported subscription or on-demand listings. Those results may reflect different dates, territories, or service plans.
For that reason, do not promise that the crossover is included with a particular subscription. Search the film directly in the service you intend to use and confirm that a playable rental or purchase option appears. If a subscription listing is present, treat it as a bonus that should be verified immediately before the marathon.
The physical-media fallback for all 12
Streaming rights are split most sharply across the last four films, which makes physical media the more dependable option for viewers who want a complete marathon without chasing rotating licenses. A Friday the 13th Blu-ray collection reported by TheWrap includes the films through the 2009 remake, but collections, sellers, included cuts, and stock can change. Check the exact contents before ordering; a “collection” is not automatically the same as a set containing every film.
Collectors can also compare Friday the 13th 4K UHD editions. TheWrap reported 4K releases for some of the earliest films and several later titles, while Arrow Video’s official store lists limited-edition 4K releases for Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X. Those specialty editions may not form one complete 12-film set, and availability or pricing should be confirmed with the current retailer.

Use theatrical release order for a first marathon. It follows the franchise’s changing mythology, production eras, and Jason interpretations in the order audiences originally encountered them:
- Friday the 13th (1980)
- Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
- Friday the 13th Part III (1982)
- Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)
- Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985)
- Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)
- Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)
- Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)
- Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)
- Jason X (2001)
- Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
- Friday the 13th (2009)
The 2009 film is a reboot, not a direct continuation of the earlier storyline. Freddy vs. Jason is a crossover with A Nightmare on Elm Street; it can work as a standalone event, but it lands better after you have seen the main Friday the 13th cycle.

How to verify a title before you press play
- Search by the full title. Distinguish the 1980 original from the 2009 reboot, and do not rely solely on a franchise hub.
- Confirm the year and artwork. Search results can place similarly titled films next to each other.
- Check the access type. Look for included-with-subscription, ad-supported, library access, rental, or purchase labels.
- Check the plan. fuboTV, YouTube TV, Paramount+ channel variants, and Kanopy may depend on a particular plan, institution, or channel arrangement.
- Check the date. If a listing displays an expiration date, do not assume the title will remain available afterward.
- Have a fallback ready. For a marathon, keep a digital rental option or physical disc available for the title most likely to disappear.
Is Crystal Lake one of the Friday the 13th movies?
No. Crystal Lake is a separate prequel television series and should not be counted as a 13th theatrical movie. Peacock and A24 list its U.S. premiere for October 15, 2026. A24 describes the series as focusing on Pam Voorhees after Jason’s drowning, while Peacock presents it as an expanded prequel to the Friday the 13th story.
If you want to follow that new series, check Peacock Crystal Lake closer to its premiere. Its inclusion in a Peacock lineup does not change the current count: the theatrical franchise consists of 12 films released between 1980 and 2009.
