The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The official festival address is 81-800 Avenue 51, Indio, CA 92201.
The venue and full address
Empire Polo Club is a polo grounds in Indio, a city in the Coachella Valley of Southern California, about two hours’ drive east of Los Angeles and roughly 25 minutes from Palm Springs. The festival’s official FAQ lists the address as 81-800 Avenue 51, Indio, CA 92201. The City of Indio’s own notice for the event also names Empire Polo Club as the location, so the venue is confirmed by both the festival and the city.
The name “Coachella” refers to the valley, not to the venue. Many visitors search for the town or the valley because the festival carries that name, but the grounds where gates, stages and camping are set up are the Empire Polo Club site on Avenue 51.
Navigating to the grounds
Use the address for planning, but do not rely on a navigation app alone during festival weekends. The official FAQ warns that GPS routing may not reflect event street closures, and the festival says its routes are subject to change. Follow the directions published on the official site, the posted signs, and instructions from traffic personnel once you are close to the site.

No. Coachella is held at Empire Polo Club, and the official materials and city notice do not point to any alternative location for the main festival. If you see a listing that names a different site, treat it with caution and confirm it against the official festival pages.
