It arrived in Australia dismantled and is intended for restoration and public display; available HARS information does not confirm that it has been reassembled or is currently open for visitors to view.
Where is the aircraft?
The destination is HARS at Shellharbour Airport, in Albion Park Rail, New South Wales. Australia’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry reported on 13 July 2026 that the aircraft had arrived in Australia and was destined for restoration and public display at HARS. The department’s announcement says the plane was dismantled in the United States and shipped to Port Kembla.
NSW Ports reported that the aircraft arrived at Port Kembla aboard the vehicle carrier Thermopylae in May 2026, before onward movement to HARS. Its arrival report also describes reassembly at HARS as the plan.
Can visitors see it at HARS now?
That is not confirmed. HARS’s restorations listing includes a Boeing 707-138/338 project, while its Boeing 707 display page is marked “Site under construction.” Those pages do not give a completion date or establish that the aircraft has been reassembled or is available to view. Check HARS directly for current visitor information rather than assuming the 707 is already on display.

Which Boeing 707 is it?
It is Travolta’s former Qantas 707-138B, registered N707JT—not another preserved Qantas 707, including the separate aircraft at the Qantas Founders Museum. HARS identifies this aircraft as a 707-138B and says it was the last of 13 built specifically for Qantas. HARS also describes the model as 10 feet shorter than a standard 707. HARS’s aircraft Q&A gives that type history; a specialist aircraft-history page records the N707JT registration and chronology. The N707JT history is not an official registry.

HARS’s page reproducing Travolta’s donation announcement says the jet was delivered to Qantas in 1964, later converted for private use, and repainted in Qantas colours when he became an airline ambassador. Travolta described donating it to HARS as a way to preserve its history. Read the announcement hosted by HARS.
