Honey Boo Boo is now living primarily as Alana Thompson, a college student in Colorado who is pursuing a future in pediatric intensive-care nursing. The latest reporting available as of August 13, 2026, says she was attending college in Colorado, expected to graduate the following year, and working toward her goal of becoming a pediatric intensive-care—or PICU—nurse. Her college and exact graduation date have not been independently verified, and she should not yet be described as a licensed nurse.
That path is a significant change from the pageants and reality television that made her famous as a child. Although public interest still centers on the nickname “Honey Boo Boo,” Alana’s current story is less about competing in pageants or starring in a weekly television series and more about building an adult life away from the spotlight.
Where is Honey Boo Boo living now?
Recent coverage places Alana Thompson in Colorado, with some Denver-area context. The safest description is that she is attending college in Colorado. There is not enough verified information to identify her college, give a precise neighborhood, or describe a particular apartment or permanent residence.

That distinction matters because celebrity coverage often turns a broad location report into an overly specific claim. Colorado is supported by the latest reporting; a precise home address or claim about where she permanently lives is not.
What is Alana Thompson doing today?
Alana is studying with the goal of entering pediatric healthcare. Her reported ambition is to become a nurse in a pediatric intensive-care unit, where nurses care for seriously ill or injured children.
Her career status should be described carefully. The available evidence supports phrases such as “plans to become a PICU nurse” and “is studying toward a nursing career.” It does not establish that she has completed nursing school, passed a licensing examination, obtained a nursing license, or begun working as a PICU nurse.
From pageant contestant to Alana Thompson
Before she became known around the world as Honey Boo Boo, Alana appeared in child beauty-pageant settings. Her television exposure grew through Toddlers & Tiaras, which featured young pageant contestants and their families.
Rank #2
That exposure led to TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, a reality series centered on Alana and her family. The show made her catchphrases, personality, and family life part of popular culture, but the television persona should not be treated as a complete description of the adult she is now.
Today, “Honey Boo Boo” is best understood as the childhood nickname and public identity that launched her career. Alana Thompson is the more appropriate name when discussing her education, career plans, relationships, and adult life.
Is Here Comes Honey Boo Boo still on television?
No. The original Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is not a current first-run weekly series. It ran for four seasons and was canceled in 2014.
Alana remained connected to family-oriented reality television after the original show ended, but the end of the TLC series marked the close of the specific program that made her a household name. A rerun, archive listing, or streaming availability should not be confused with a new season or an ongoing series.

Want to revisit the original series?
For viewers interested in the show’s television history, a Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Season 1 DVD is an optional archival purchase when available. It is a way to revisit the program that introduced Alana to a mass audience—not a product connected to her current nursing studies, and not evidence that the original series has returned. Retail inventory and seller status can change.
What is I Was Honey Boo Boo?
Alana’s most notable recent screen connection is I Was Honey Boo Boo, a 2025 Lifetime biopic about her rise to fame and the difficult aspects of growing up under public scrutiny.
Alana narrates the film, which gives the project a connection to her perspective. However, it is a dramatized Lifetime production, not a complete documentary record or a verbatim transcript of everything that happened. Dramatic scenes should therefore be understood as part of the film’s storytelling rather than independently verified evidence of every event.

Alana has been publicly linked to Dralin Carswell since 2021. In a May 2025 interview, she said they met through mutual friends, and coverage described the relationship as having continued for several years at that point.
Later reporting placed the pair together in Colorado during filming and described them spending time in the Denver area. That supports saying they were still publicly associated in the latest sourced coverage, but relationship status can change quickly. It is more accurate to use a date-qualified description than to present the relationship as permanently settled.
What happened to her family and childhood earnings?
Recent coverage and I Was Honey Boo Boo discuss difficult family experiences and past disputes involving money earned during Alana’s childhood career. Those subjects are part of the broader story of growing up famous, but the available research does not establish her current net worth, the complete legal or financial status of every allegation, or a definitive accounting of all her earnings.

A 2026 report said Alana was involved in a Denver-area car accident in September 2025 and escaped with minor injuries.
