Rachel Hunter played Stacy’s mother in Fountains of Wayne’s 2003 “Stacy’s Mom” video, while Gianna Distenca played Stacy. Recent reporting refers to Distenca as Gianna Dispenza and says she has pursued visual art. A 2024 podcast listing describes Hunter as a spiritual teacher who travels internationally, but neither source establishes the women’s exact current locations or day-to-day lives.
Who played Stacy and her mother in “Stacy’s Mom”?
The roles are easy to confuse: New Zealand model and actor Rachel Hunter played Stacy’s mother, and Gianna Distenca played Stacy. IMDb’s cast listing for Fountains of Wayne’s 2003 music video identifies the performers in those roles.

What is Gianna Distenca doing now?
Recent reporting uses the name Gianna Dispenza. In a June 25, 2025 article, LADbible reported that she works as an artist and described her social media as showing her artwork. The outlet also mentioned recognition for emerging and figurative art. Those details are the outlet’s reporting; they do not establish a direct, current account from Dispenza or confirm where she lives.
For background, a 2021 retrospective in The Things said she had studied art and developed an international painting and sculpture practice. That older account offers context, but the 2025 LADbible article is the more recent source for an update on her creative work.

What is Rachel Hunter doing now?
A July 7, 2024 episode listing from Between Two Beers describes Hunter as a spiritual teacher who travels internationally. Its description says the conversation covered her life in the spotlight and her experience as “Stacy’s mum.” The listing provides no transcript, so it confirms the episode’s subjects rather than any exact words Hunter used.
The episode description offers a glimpse of how Hunter was being presented publicly in 2024, not a complete account of her life in 2026. It does not establish her current residence, schedule, or latest plans.

What can be confirmed about their lives after the video?
The strongest direct point of comparison is what the sources establish, not a claim that the two women followed similar paths. IMDb’s cast listing confirms their roles in the video; the newer reporting on Dispenza’s art is a secondary news account, while the Hunter item is podcast episode metadata. The available sources do not establish either woman’s exact current location or provide a recent first-person update from both.
