The launch-era price was reported as $24.99 per month, including shipping according to Forbes. Those details are historical: the club’s current availability, price, and terms could not be confirmed, so do not assume Amazon is accepting subscribers today.
What the club offered at launch
Launch coverage described a physical-record subscription in which Amazon Music experts selected one LP for each monthly billing period. Amazon called the 1960s and 1970s the “Golden Era of Vinyl,” and the reported selections drew from that period. What Hi-Fi? and E-Commerce Times reported the offer in June 2021.

Which records were mentioned?
Launch reports named Pink Floyd’s The Wall and The Clash’s London Calling as early examples. Other artists mentioned included Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, ABBA, and Pink Floyd. The examples point to familiar, widely known albums rather than a promise that a particular title would be sent to every subscriber.

- COLLECTION STARTER lots can be used for vintage decoration, as party items or unique gifts
- GENUINE VINYL RECORDS are in this lot. Most of these records are playable but some may come scuffed or the labels may have faded
- CREATIVE TYPES use these to make room dividers, curtains, shop decors, heat them up and shape them into bowls, ashtrays, key chains, guitar picks
- VARIOUS GENRES may be found in this lot. Blues, rock, jazz, rnb, hip-hop, pop, sould, disco, country genres are most common ones
A later portfolio page by a designer who worked on the Amazon Music project says the offering expanded to four genre boxes: hip-hop, pop, rock, and country. It does not establish when that expansion took place or whether any of those boxes remains available. The portfolio page is evidence of a later project configuration, not current subscription terms.
What subscribers reportedly could do
Launch-era articles described options to skip a month or cancel, and reported free returns for unwanted records under conditions such as returning them new, unused, or sealed. These were descriptions of the service at launch, not confirmed current policies. E-Commerce Times also recorded a reviewer’s complaint that choosing to skip apparently did not stop a shipment, so the reported skip process should not be treated as guaranteed to work without issue.

Is the subscription a good fit?
The key trade-off is surprise curation versus choosing a specific album yourself. A monthly LP could suit someone who welcomes discovery and enjoys mainstream classics from the stated eras. It may be less appealing if you already own many canonical albums, want a particular pressing, or prefer genres outside the club’s reported selections. These are practical implications of the surprise-selection format, not verified customer outcomes.
- Consider the cost: compare any current offer, if one exists, with the albums you would actually buy individually. The historical $24.99 monthly figure cannot show whether the service saves money today.
- Consider duplicates: a surprise pick can be unwelcome if you already own the album or want to choose the edition yourself.
- Check the policies: verify skip, cancellation, and return conditions before subscribing; launch-era reports do not establish today’s terms.
- Check playback: the subscription delivered LPs, so you need a turntable to play them.
Is Amazon still offering Vinyl of the Month Club?
Current operation, signup availability, price, geography, and subscription rules are unconfirmed. The Amazon listing referenced in launch coverage was not retrievable, and no current primary source established that the service remains active. The club was described as U.S.-only when it launched in 2021; that does not establish present eligibility. Check Amazon directly for a current listing and terms before making plans around the service.

- Olivia Rodrigo's highly anticipated third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, follows her critically acclaimed LPs GUTS and SOUR
If no current subscription is listed, buying individual records is the clearest alternative when you want a particular album. What Hi-Fi? also pointed readers outside the United States toward local record shops; current stock and prices depend on the seller.
