How to find the movie on Disney+
- Open Disney+ in a web browser or launch the Disney+ app.
- Select Search.
- Enter The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
- Choose the entry for the 2025 film, not another title containing “Fantastic Four.”
Searching only for Fantastic Four can produce older results, including the 2005 film or the 1994 animated series. Check that the selected listing says 2025, has a runtime of 1h 56m, and is rated PG-13.
Is the IMAX version available?
Yes. Disney+ offers The Fantastic Four: First Steps in an IMAX Enhanced presentation. The expanded image uses a 1.90:1 aspect ratio, showing more vertical picture than a standard widescreen presentation. Supported Disney+ devices can display the expanded IMAX image.

- Set against the backdrop of a ?60s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel?s First Family faces a daunting challenge. Forced to balance being heroes with their family bond, they must defend Earth from a space god and his enigmatic herald.
To check the formats available on your setup, open the film’s page and look under its Details tab. Disney+ also uses a Versions tab for alternate presentations on some titles.
What about IMAX Enhanced sound?
The picture and the DTS:X sound feature do not have identical requirements. Disney currently limits IMAX Enhanced DTS:X audio to selected Android TV devices from Sony, Hisense, Sharp, and Xiaomi. Disney+ plans with ads do not support that sound feature.
If your television, streaming box, plan, or audio system does not meet those requirements, you may still be able to watch the movie with the IMAX Enhanced picture and the audio format supported by your equipment.
September 23 was not the Disney+ date
The Fantastic Four: First Steps became available to buy or rent digitally through services such as Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV on September 23, 2025. That was a transactional digital release: viewers paid separately to rent or purchase the film.

Owning or renting the digital version is therefore different from watching the movie through a Disney+ subscription.
Availability outside the United States
The U.S. Disney+ page confirms the movie’s availability there, but catalogs are not identical in every country. Release timing, language tracks, subtitles, video versions, and accessibility options can vary by region.

If the title does not appear in your local Disney+ search, check the service’s regional catalog and the title’s Details page. Do not assume that a U.S. streaming date applies everywhere.
