Season 7 of The Dragon Prince premiered on Netflix on December 19, 2024, and all nine episodes were released on that same day rather than weekly. As of October 2026 this is a past release, not an upcoming one, so there is no future premiere to wait for. The practical question now is whether the season is available in your region, and that depends on your local Netflix catalog.
The release date and how the season was delivered
The official Dragon Prince channel announced the season’s date on August 13, 2024. Its post read: “Season 7 of The Dragon Prince arrives December 19th….yes, THIS December 19th, only on Netflix!” The announcement confirmed both the date and the platform. The post is from the official series channel and does not name an individual producer or cast member, so the date rests on the channel’s own statement.
Date listings from TV Guide also place the first episodes on December 19, 2024. Because every episode in the season carries that same date, the season was a single batch release, the usual pattern for Netflix originals of this kind, rather than a weekly rollout. Readers looking for a staggered schedule will not find one in the available listings.
Episode schedule
The season has nine episodes. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) lists the titles and runtimes below, and each one is dated December 19, 2024. The BBFC dates are classification records, so they confirm the episodes existed in that form on that date rather than marking a separate premiere. The runtimes are the BBFC’s listed figures, rounded to the nearest minute.

Netflix’s own series listing identifies The Dragon Prince as a seven-season show, so season 7 is the current finale. Wonderstorm’s official site describes season 7 as the finale season and says it is streaming on Netflix.
Premiere date versus current availability
Two different facts are often merged into one answer, and they should be kept apart:
- The premiere date is fixed: December 19, 2024. It does not move, and no later premiere is scheduled.
- Current availability is a catalog question. Wonderstorm and Netflix both point to Netflix as the place to watch, but a streaming catalog can vary by country and can change over time.
If the season does not appear in your Netflix library, search for “The Dragon Prince” in the Netflix app or website. If it still does not appear, the title may not be licensed to Netflix in your country, and the local Netflix help pages or the title’s listing on the Netflix site for your region will give the current position.

- Territory-by-territory availability. The sources do not list which countries carry the season on a given date.
- Subscription requirements and plan tiers. No pricing or plan information was confirmed for this season.
- Local viewing times. The December 19, 2024 date is given as a single calendar date. The sources do not establish the exact release hour in each time zone.
For any of these points, the Netflix listing for your country is the authoritative place to check.
