Godzilla is not scheduled to arrive in Fortnite Battle Royale this week, October 5–11, 2026, according to the official material available here. Epic’s Godzilla Battle Royale event began on January 17, 2025, and its Godzilla Evolved quest deadline passed on February 21, 2025. A return in 2026 is not confirmed by the sources cited below.
When did the Fortnite Godzilla event happen?
Epic Games announced the collaboration on January 16, 2025, alongside Fortnite v33.20. The Battle Royale portal opportunity began January 17, 2025: when a portal appeared in a match, the first player to enter became Godzilla, while other players could fight the transformed player. Epic described Godzilla’s Roar, Mighty Stomp, and Heat Ray abilities. Read Epic’s announcement.
The Godzilla Evolved Outfit was a reward for completing Battle Pass quests. Epic set the quest deadline for February 21, 2025, at 2 AM ET, when Chapter 6 Season 1 ended. That deadline is in the past; it is not a current-week schedule.
Does a Godzilla-themed Creative island mean the event is returning?
No. Fortnite’s Creative catalog can include islands made by creators that use Godzilla in their titles or descriptions. One listing, “GODZILLA BOSS EVENT,” identifies itself as a recreation not affiliated with Godzilla; another advertises a creator-made boss fight. These are separate from Epic’s Battle Royale event and do not establish that it is returning. Catalog listings can change. See the “GODZILLA BOSS EVENT” listing and the creator-made boss-fight listing.
