The original filming window for Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage could not be verified from the available sources. A separate, later report placed the start of Season 2 tapings on August 5, 2025; that date does not establish when the first season began filming.
What is known about the filming schedule
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is the Young Sheldon sequel starring Montana Jordan as Georgie and Emily Osment as Mandy. CBS announced it as a half-hour, multi-camera comedy created by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland, following the couple as they raise their young family in Texas. CBS’s series page provides the current show overview, while its 2024–2025 schedule announcement included the comedy among its fall shows.
Neither the exact first-season filming window nor a dated announcement establishing it appears in the sources available here. It would therefore be misleading to attach a specific start date to the original season.
Season 2 has a separate reported taping date
TV Insider reported on August 4, 2025, that Season 2 tapings were scheduled to begin the following day, August 5, at Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank. The report based the schedule on dates then listed through 1iota. This is a reported Season 2 taping start, not confirmation of the first season’s filming window. Why taping dates fit this show’s format
The series uses a multi-camera sitcom format and performs in front of a live studio audience, as the Associated Press reported in October 2024. Chuck Lorre described the appeal of that approach this way: “Putting on a play in front of an audience is as fundamental as you can get to how to tell a story.” The AP report also discusses the creative choice to distinguish the show from Young Sheldon.

CBS’s official series overview currently lists the third-season premiere for October 8, 2026, and says episodes are available live and on demand on Paramount+. Those current details indicate the series’ status; they do not verify the historical first-season filming window.
