106.7 Lite FM in New York has switched to 24/7 Christmas music in mid-to-late November in every example we could verify, but no 2026 start date has been officially announced as of October 8, 2026. The most recent confirmed kickoff was Friday, November 21, 2025. Treat that as the pattern to watch, not as next year’s date.
The most recent confirmed switch
The station’s official announcement, published November 17, 2025, invited listeners to its 24/7 Christmas music kickoff on Friday, November 21, 2025. Cubby and Christine broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall, with Gavin DeGraw as a special guest. That announcement confirms the 2025 day and date. It does not establish a schedule for any other year.
Past switch dates compared
The table below lists every switch date we could match to a source, with the source type and publication date. The dates cluster between November 17 and November 22, but they are examples rather than a rule.

| 2024 | Friday, November 22, 2024 | Yahoo Entertainment report | Secondary reporting, not a station announcement |

| 2026 | Not stated | No official 2026 announcement found | Checked as of October 8, 2026 |
The station’s 2023 announcement describes the event in its own words: “New York’s 106.7 LITE FM made its annual switch to New York’s Christmas station on Friday, November 17, 2023 live from Radio City Music Hall with The Rockettes and pop music icon Debbie Gibson!” That is the station’s statement, not a quote from an individual host.

How to find the 2026 start time
Because no 2026 date has been published in the sources reviewed, use this order to confirm it once the station announces it:
- Check the station’s own website and its official announcements for a dated Christmas music kickoff post. The station’s 2025 and 2023 kickoffs were both announced by the station itself a few days before the switch.
- Look for a kickoff event at Radio City Music Hall. The 2023 and 2025 switches were both broadcast live from there, so an event listing there is a strong signal the flip is near.
- Confirm the start time on the station’s listing or the announcement. The sources reviewed give the date but no clock time for the switch, so do not assume the flip happens at a particular hour.
- Be wary of secondary articles that repeat a previous year’s date as if it were current. The 2024 Yahoo Entertainment report is an example of secondary coverage, not a station confirmation.
Why the switch date changes
The sources show a pattern, not a fixed calendar rule. The three examples fall on three different Fridays in November, and the station has not published a formula for picking the day. Any article or post that promises a specific 2026 date without linking to a current station announcement is going beyond what the evidence supports.

Do not confuse the switch with iHeartMedia’s light-show events
iHeartMedia also runs separate holiday programming tied to the Empire State Building light show. Those are distinct December events, not the annual start of 24/7 Christmas music on 106.7 Lite FM.
| Year | Light-show Christmas music window | Start time (ET) |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | December 20–25 | 7 p.m. |
| 2025 | December 19–25 | 7 p.m. |
If you saw a December date in a holiday listing, it probably refers to these events rather than the November switch.
