Pat Cummins and Becky Boston married in Byron Bay in late July 2022, according to contemporary news reports. Cummins announced the marriage on 1 August with a wedding photo captioned “Just married.” That post date is not necessarily the ceremony date: coverage differs on the exact day.
When did Pat Cummins and Becky Boston get married?
The couple married in late July 2022. The exact ceremony date is reported differently: The Australian Women’s Weekly gives 29 July, while PerthNow describes the wedding as taking place on a Saturday in a report published on Monday, 1 August—meaning 30 July. India Today reports the venue but does not resolve the date discrepancy. It is safest to describe the wedding as taking place in late July unless attributing a particular date to an outlet.
On 1 August, Cummins shared a wedding image with the caption “Just married,” as reported by PerthNow and India Today. The announcement came after the ceremony.

News reports placed the wedding at Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay, New South Wales. The venue was identified by PerthNow and India Today.

How long had they been together before the wedding?
Reports said Cummins and Boston had been engaged since 2020, and that their wedding plans were delayed during the COVID-19 pandemic. They had their first child before marrying: son Albie Boston Cummins was born on 8 October 2021, according to cricket.com.au.
In February 2025, cricket.com.au reported that their daughter Edi had arrived during Australia’s Sri Lanka Test tour.

A 2025 Guardian profile says they met in a Sydney bar. Cummins recalled that he initially said he was a student; he was studying part time while recovering from a back injury.
