What is NCIS: Tony & Ziva about?
The series continues the story of former NCIS agents Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo and Ziva David. The pair are living in Paris and co-parenting their daughter, Tali, when Tony’s security company is attacked. The family is forced to run across Europe while trying to discover who is targeting them and clear their names.
Unlike a conventional case-of-the-week entry in the NCIS franchise, the spinoff uses a serialized chase structure. Its story combines international espionage, family conflict, romance, and the continuing question of whether Tony and Ziva can trust one another—and the people around them.
Cast and characters
- Michael Weatherly as Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo: The former NCIS agent and Tali’s father. Weatherly also executive-produced the series.
- Cote de Pablo as Ziva David: The former NCIS agent who is living in Paris with Tony and Tali. De Pablo also executive-produced the show.
- Isla Gie as Tali: Tony and Ziva’s daughter.
- Amita Suman as Claudette: The chief technology officer at Tony’s security company.
- Maximilian Osinski as Boris: A highly capable computer hacker.
- Lara Rossi as Sophie: An ally with a Special Air Service background who works as Tali’s nanny.
- Nassima Benchicou as Martine: A former French intelligence agent.
- Terence Maynard as Dr. Lang: Ziva’s therapist.
- Julian Ovenden as Jonah: An Interpol agent involved in pursuing Tony and Ziva.
- James D’Arcy as Henry: An Interpol official also pursuing the pair.
Where can you watch it?
The complete 10-episode season is listed by Paramount+ as a 2025 drama with one season. For U.S. viewers, availability research has also identified Paramount+ through Apple TV Channels, Paramount+ through Amazon Channels, and Roku Premium Channel integrations as possible subscription routes.

Subscription prices, trial offers, video quality, and download rights may also vary by service and territory.
Paramount Home Entertainment announced a physical release of NCIS: Tony & Ziva: Season One DVD for July 14, 2026. The home-video release was associated with deleted scenes, a gag reel, and three featurettes. Because stock and retailer availability can change, confirm that the disc is available in your region before ordering.
Is there going to be a Season 2?
No—not on Paramount+. The service canceled NCIS: Tony & Ziva after one season in December 2025. The cancellation was announced on December 19, 2025, and Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo issued a joint statement thanking the cast, crew, writers, directors, producers, CBS Studios, and Paramount+.
That means the series should be described as a completed one-season show, not as a series waiting for a renewal decision or on an ordinary hiatus. Fan campaigns, actor comments, or possible franchise crossovers do not change the current cancellation status.

How does it fit into the NCIS franchise?
Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David first appeared on the flagship NCIS series. The earlier storyline established Ziva’s presumed death, later revealed that she had survived, and showed Tony leaving the NCIS team to raise their daughter, Tali.
NCIS: Tony & Ziva begins from that existing history, but new viewers mainly need to know the present setup: Tony and Ziva are together in Paris as co-parents, their past lives still affect them, and a violent attack turns their family situation into an international pursuit. Viewers who want the wider franchise background can also look for NCIS DVD box sets, although those releases cover the broader franchise rather than this spinoff alone.
Who created the series?
John McNamara created NCIS: Tony & Ziva and served as showrunner. Executive producers included Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals.
The project was made as a Paramount+ streaming exclusive rather than a CBS broadcast series. Production wrapped in January 2025, with filming taking place in Budapest, the Canary Islands, and Paris.
