The official opening followed the production’s first Perth performance by two days. PerthNow reported that the company made its Western Australian debut on Thursday night, 24 July: PerthNow’s opening report, 25 July 2025.
What was the Perth production?
Ticketmaster described the staging as a new Disney production featuring new sets, costume designs and technology. Its listed songs included “Belle,” “Gaston” and “Be Our Guest.” The Perth cast included:

Head’s casting connected the run with an earlier Australian staging: the 1995 production featured a young Hugh Jackman as Gaston. PerthNow reported that Head was honoured to take on the role; this is reported sentiment, not a direct quotation.
Disney Australia’s retrospective says the Australian company’s tour had visited Perth in 2023, and that the company toured to Singapore from December 2025. Those are separate tour milestones, not dates for the 2025 Crown Theatre season. How long was the show, and who was it suitable for?
The official FAQ described the musical as approximately two and a half hours long, including a 20-minute interval, and recommended it for ages six and older. Children under two could attend without occupying a seat if their caregiver obtained a complimentary babes-in-arms ticket. Prices varied by seat, performance date and time; the FAQ listed historical prices starting from A$50 and suggested midweek evening performances outside school holidays as a way to seek better value.
