That is the family’s account of what doctors told them, reported in 2024. It is not an independent medical assessment, and it does not establish how Laverock is doing in 2026.
What the family said on May 30, 2024
The update was brief. ABC News reproduced the statement from the family’s fundraising page, and TV Insider reported the same wording. The statement was attributed to Laverock’s parents:
“Mamie is out of her extensive surgeries, and the doctors say she is doing well. It’s impossible for us to be happier. Thank you all for your support.”
The statement gives no clinical detail beyond that. No treating clinician is quoted directly in the reporting, so the medical picture reaches readers only through the family. Read the ABC News version of the update at ABC News, May 30, 2024.
