Amazon cancelled The Wheel of Time after three seasons in May 2025. Fans are now campaigning to bring it back for a fourth season or persuade another service to continue it—but the campaign is not evidence that a revival has been approved.
How the renewal campaign became a save-the-show effort
The campaign began before the series’ fate was known. In an April 29, 2025 report, TechRadar described an effort called Renew WoT that asked Amazon and Sony to renew the adaptation. After Amazon cancelled the show in May, supporters organized under SaveWOT to seek a fourth season at Amazon Prime Video or a new home elsewhere.
SaveWOT describes itself as a fan-run effort and says no individual involved stands to benefit financially. Its stated aim is to help bring the television series back for a fourth season and beyond, so the story can be finished. That is the campaign’s goal, not a production announcement.
What fans have done
Petitions, emails and social posts
Before cancellation, Renew WoT promoted a petition, an action-email page directed at Amazon and Sony executives, and scheduled Friday posts using #RenewWoT. TechRadar reported almost 7,000 emails sent during that early phase. The figure is a dated report from April 2025, not a current campaign total.

The old Action Network page for the email effort now says that service has ended and points visitors to SaveWOT.com. It should not be treated as an active way to email the companies.
Visible demonstrations and fan-made projects
After cancellation, SaveWOT reported a wider range of activities: fan videos and letters, media outreach, billboards in multiple locations, and a plane message flown over Sony and Amazon studios in Culver City, California. Later efforts included community rewatches, postcards, a sewing and crafting challenge, song parodies, performances of songs from the series, and choirs serenading studio employees.

These tactics serve different purposes: petitioning records support, public displays attract attention, and creative events give fans ways to participate together. None, on its own, shows that a company has agreed to revive the series.
What the reported numbers show—and what they don’t
SaveWOT reported 181,659 petition signatures on June 20, 2025, after the billboard and flyover efforts. The campaign said the petition had reached 75,000 signatures within four days of launch. In a July 2025 update, it reported reaching 200,000 signatures less than two months after launch. These are campaign-published milestones, not independently audited or live totals.

For context, TechRadar reported that Nielsen measured 505 million U.S. streaming minutes for the week of March 24–30, 2025, covering the 21 episodes available through March 30. That is a U.S.-only weekly figure for a specific episode set; it cannot establish worldwide viewing or explain Amazon’s decision. Nor can viewing minutes be compared directly with petition signatures: they measure different things.
TechRadar also reported historical Rotten Tomatoes critic scores of 81% for season one, 86% for season two and 97% for season three. Those figures were cited in 2025 and may change as reviews or site methodology change; they are not a verified current snapshot.

Has a fourth season been confirmed?
No. The sources cited here report no renewal, new streaming home or fourth season in production. The campaign is an attempt to reverse the cancellation or attract another service, not proof that either outcome has happened. No official Amazon or Sony response to the campaign was verified in the cited coverage.
Rights reporting also requires care. In September 2025, Fellowship of Fans corrected a report that the streaming rights had reverted to iwot Productions. The correction said the earlier claim came from a misunderstanding and that iwot representatives stated Sony retained full control of the rights at that time; it also said iwot attributed the cancellation to Amazon. This is a dated secondary report, not a live rights record or evidence of what any company may do next.

SaveWOT’s current site is the place the former action-email page directs supporters to for campaign information. Before sharing a petition total or repeating an action, check the campaign’s own current pages: the figures above describe milestones in 2025, and the former email action has ended.
For readers who want to continue the story in its original form, the television adaptation is based on Robert Jordan’s novels. SaveWOT’s campaign material describes a 15-book story; the books offer another way to explore the world, but buying them does not support the fan campaign.
