The eggless omelette scene comes from the opening episode of Whites, the BBC Two sitcom that began airing on 28 September 2010. In it, the waitress Kiki asks the sous chef Bib for an eggless omelette, and he serves her an empty plate sprinkled with parsley.
Which show and episode it is
The title is Whites, with an “s”. It is a six-part BBC comedy, not a cooking programme and not a separate series called White. The gag appears in series 1, episode 1, according to the episode listing on British Comedy Guide, which also gives the broadcast date as Tuesday, 28 September 2010, at 9 p.m. on BBC Two. The listed running time is 30 minutes.
The scene itself
The scene is short and works on a single joke. Kiki places an order for an eggless omelette. Bib, instead of cooking, returns with an empty plate garnished with parsley. The exchange is the kind of literal-minded kitchen gag the show leans on, and the simplest accurate description is the one above. Some fan pages and secondary write-ups give a longer, more embellished version of the exchange, including a rant, but those expanded accounts are not verified against the episode, so avoid quoting them as dialogue.
Who is in the scene
The sitcom is set in the kitchen of a country-house hotel. The three characters in this scene are:

Production credits and premise
The Fireworks International production flyer describes the series as following the “trials and tribulations” of head chef Roland White and his sous chef Bib in a “high-pressured kitchen” at a country house hotel. The flyer credits Matt King and Oliver Lansley as writers, David Kerr as director, and Michelle Farr and Charlie Hanson as producers. The episode listing also names Matt King and Oliver Lansley on the writing team. Because the flyer is production copy rather than a critic’s account, it is best used for premise and credits rather than for judgements about the show.
