For U.S. viewers, Netflix had three clear additions on Saturday, October 12, 2024: the Korean series A Virtuous Business, the horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II, and the family film Clifford the Big Red Dog. The consulted U.S. schedules list no major Prime Video release for the date, and Disney+’s official October calendar has no October 12 entry. This is a historical release list; availability may have changed since then.

Netflix: three clear additions
Netflix’s October 12 lineup paired a new series with two movies returning to streaming as licensed catalog additions. The date-specific listings agree on these three titles: What’s on Netflix and TVLine.
A Virtuous Business
This Korean-language Netflix series was the day’s principal series premiere. It is the clearest choice for viewers looking for something new to start rather than a movie added to the catalog.
A Quiet Place Part II
The 2021 horror sequel arrived as a licensed movie, not a Netflix original. Its tense, creature-feature setup makes it the strongest fit among the day’s additions for a Halloween-season watch. Its arrival on Netflix did not make it a Netflix-exclusive film.

Clifford the Big Red Dog
The 2021 live-action family movie was the lineup’s most direct pick for a family watch. This is the feature film, not the animated television series or the original children’s books.
Other Netflix entries: episode listings, not clearly new premieres
A daily schedule also lists The Great Indian Kapil Show and Ranma ½ on October 12. That does not establish that either series began that day. In particular, TVLine dates the Ranma ½ series premiere to October 5, so the October 12 listing is more plausibly a new episode or a different way of recording the schedule. The daily listing does not resolve the distinction for The Great Indian Kapil Show either. See the daily schedule alongside TVLine’s October calendar.

Prime Video: no major October 12 release listed
The consulted U.S. October schedule does not identify a major Prime Video premiere or catalog addition for Saturday, October 12. Prime Video’s notable releases elsewhere in October were scheduled for other dates, so they should not be treated as arrivals that day. This finding is limited to major releases shown in the monthly schedule; it does not rule out a minor catalog change, a regional release, a new episode omitted from that calendar, or a title offered to rent or buy rather than included with Prime.
Disney+: no October 12 release on the U.S. calendar
Disney+’s official U.S. October schedule lists Friday, October 11 releases—including Expedition Amazon, new episodes of Ayla & The Mirrors, and the Simpsons short “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”—then moves to October 15. It lists no October 12 addition. Disney notes that library availability can vary by region and change over time.
