Was Max’s April 2024 lineup worth watching?
For documentary viewers, April 2024 was unusually strong: The Synanon Fix, Brandy Hellville & The Cult of Fast Fashion, An American Bombing, The Jinx: Part Two, and We’re Here Season 4 covered substantially different subjects. For scripted viewing, The Sympathizer supplied the month’s main series commitment, while The Zone of Interest offered a single-film prestige option.
The most efficient viewing plan was to start with the April 1 arrivals if you wanted a full Harry Potter rewatch or an early documentary binge, then reserve April 14 for The Sympathizer, April 18 for Conan O’Brien Must Go, April 21 for The Jinx: Part Two, and April 26 for We’re Here Season 4. Whether those titles justified a subscription depended on the viewer’s country, plan, and whether the viewer wanted live sports as well as on-demand programming.
